About the Webinar

Building on the Sustainable Finance Forum’s 2030 Roadmap recommendations, we were pleased to be invited by the Climate Change Minister to submit recommendations on key design considerations for an Aotearoa New Zealand taxonomy. A sustainable finance taxonomy is a classification system for clearly defining which economic activities and assets are aligned to a sustainable, low-emissions future.

We have convened an interim specialist Independent Technical Advisory Group (“ITAG”) comprised of climate change experts, financial market participants, academics and iwi representatives to prepare and publish non-binding advice to the Climate Change Minister on the design of a taxonomy that is fit for purpose for Aotearoa New Zealand. The ITAG’s draft recommendations and meeting minutes will be published on our website in late April 2024.

Please join us at one of our upcoming webinars where participants will learn more about the draft recommendations and provide feedback in real time. Your feedback will help the ITAG finalise its recommendations to the Minister, which will be delivered in June 2024.

Tuesday, April 30, 12pm - 1pm NZT: This is a feedback session moderated by Jo Kelly and ITAG members on the ITAG's draft recommendations for a green taxonomy for Aotearoa New Zealand. We welcome your engagement. Register for the webinar below.
