Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have transformed lung cancer treatment, providing significant benefits for patients with driver mutations, who represent approximately 20–30% of all lung cancer cases. However, their use is often accompanied by general TKI and product-specific adverse events (AEs) that can affect treatment adherence, quality of life, and clinical outcomes. Managing these toxicities is critical, as they can influence prescribing patterns, with clinicians balancing efficacy, side effects, and CNS protection, while also shaping patient perspectives and drug adherence.
