About the Webinar

Momentum is building toward the transition to real-time payments and Australia’s payments future. The NPP now processes over 30% of account-to-account payments, and work is underway to transition the remaining volume ahead of the legacy system’s planned decommissioning.

In this webinar, we’ll share updates on the initiatives underway to ensure the NPP has the capability, capacity, reach and resilience to easily support increasing transaction volumes.

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) recently released a report outlining critical focus areas as the industry prepares for the decommissioning of the Bulk Electronic Clearing System (BECS). We’re pleased to welcome Ellis Connolly, Head of Payments Policy at the RBA and Luke Wilson, Chief Operating Officer, Australian Payments Network for a panel discussion on the report’s recommendations and next steps for industry.

This session will cover:

  • Key updates on the AP+ roadmap: move to NPP initiatives
  • A panel discussion on the recommendations from the RBA risk assessment on the proposed decommissioning of BECS
  • An opportunity for audience Q&A
