About the Webinar

Join the Centre for Sustainable Finance: Toitū Tahua as we review the feedback received from the first public consultation on the NZ Taxonomy.

The NZ Taxonomy classifies sustainable economic activities based on their contributions to meeting environmental goals – starting with activities that contribute to the goals of climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience, in the agricultural and forestry Sectors.

The NZ Taxonomy will direct and mobilise capital for both 'green' and 'transition' activities, by increasing ease and confidence for investors identifying and assessing them. It also makes it possible for businesses in these sectors to identify opportunities for finance, and provides greater transparency, standardisation and credibility to sustainability claims.

The first public consultation on the draft criteria for climate change mitigation was open from 16 June – 13 July, seeking input and feedback from a wider range of stakeholders.

Join Jessica Desmond (CSF), Matteo Bigoni (CBI) with members of the NZ Taxonomy Technical Experts Group, to hear the summary of feedback from the consultation and key decisions around implementation of changes based on this input.
